Surprisingly Tasty Instant Pot Korean Beef

When ground beef is on sale, this is a quick crowd pleasing recipe that is beyond easy to make in the Instant Pot! When you serve it over rice, it goes further but all will enjoy the blend of flavors with a hit of heat to it. They will find it a Surprisingly Tasty Instant Pot Korean Beef dish.
Surprisingly Tasty Instant Pot Korean Beef Recipe
You will need:
2 tbsp olive oil
4 lbs ground beef
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 C beef broth
1 C soy sauce
1 C brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp sugar
3 packages of ready-made Jasmine rice
Green Onions for garnish
Directions:
- Turn your Instant Pot onto Saute mode and add the olive oil and ground beef
- Brown the ground beef and then add in the minced garlic. Stir until combined
- Once all of the beef has been ground add remaining ingredients (Except rice) into the pot and stir until combined
- Turn the Instant Pot off and allow the beef to sit for a few minutes
- Using a bowl and a strainer, drain the beef into the strainer that way the juice will go into the other bowl. Trust me you will want to keep the sauce!
- Follow the directions on the back of the ready-made jasmine rice to heat the rice up
- Once rice is heated, scoop onto a plate and add some beef on top of the rice
- Pour some sauce onto the beef and top with green onions!
