If you are a dare devil and adrenaline seeking junkie, I’m sure you are a big fan of thrilling roller coasters! There are so many various theme parks throughout the U.S. and each park has some of their biggest, most frightening, thrilling, and record breaking roller coasters. If you are looking to get your adrenaline pumping, take the time to put these 10 huge roller coasters on your bucket list and get to traveling so that you can get the experience from each and every one of them. Here they are in no particular order!
1. Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point: This one isn’t SO bad if you really think about it because the whole experience is over within 17 seconds from start to finish. The reason it is over so quickly? Top Thrill Dragster shoots you off from 0 to 120 mph in less than 4 seconds! Thought that was crazy? You get shot up to the tippy top reaching 420 ft high and down the other side and across the finish line. This will definitely get your heart pumping, and remember to keep your head glued to the back of that seat so you don’t end up with whip lash as you launch.
2. Valravn Birdseye View at Cedar Point: Okay, this record breaking coaster is not even up and running yet! They have announced it’s release date to be May 2016 and it will definitely be a thrill being that it actually breaks TEN world roller coaster records! That’s right, ten world records in just one roller coaster! If you want to be a part of roller coaster history, be sure to try this out in May this Summer!
3. The Beast at Kings Island: The Beast is a record breaking coaster located at Kings Island. It is known as the longest wooden roller coaster and reaching speeds of 65 mph it is definitely one that you will want to experience. Unleash the Beast and you will have the time of your life! Be prepared for a very intense, and jerky ride. Being that it is a wooden roller coaster, it tends to be a bit rougher than a complete steel roller coaster.
4. Superman at Six Flags: Magic Mountain: Who doesn’t want to ride something based on one of the greatest super heroes of all time, Superman. You reach an amazing speed of 100 mph and reach the height of 415 feet! This is definitely one you will want to check out. Fly around just like Superman and get the thrill of a lifetime from the Superman ride!
Â
5. Batman The Ride at Six Flags: Magic Mountain: On the other end, Batman is pretty awesome too. Find out what it is like to be Batman and fly through Gotham City through several inversions starting with a complete 360 Degree loop, and that is only the beginning folks. If you are one that loves twist and loops versus height, this is the coaster for you!
6. Diamondback at Kings Island: For those height lovers, Diamondback is more up your alley. Reaching over 200 ft and sending you over several steep drops and finishing out the ride with a nice little splash of water at the end! You will definitely want to try this one out and trust me, your blood will be pumping and you will get an amazing adrenaline rush!
Okay all you adrenaline junkies, be sure to check out some of these amazing and thrilling rides! Put them on your adventure bucket list and start traveling to try out some of the greatest roller coasters in the United States.
