So, speaking of Asiago… I got some.
Did you know that Sartori is a Wisconsin company? I can’t begin to tell you how many awards their cheeses have earned!
Back to my recipe: I also got asparagus and puff pastry sheets…thinking to make an Asiago Asparagus Tart!
Let the Puff Pastry come to room temperature.
Take the asparagus and trim the ends
Toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt & pepper. Lay it onto the puff pastry, then sprinkle shredded Asiago over it.
Bake at 375 for 20 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
Simple. Elegant. Excellent flavor combination. I wish you had Smell-O-Vision!
Next, I think I will get some feta and make Spanakopita Phylo Cups…I highly suggest you check out the cheese selection at your Roundy’s store… the possibilities are endless!
Asiago Asparagus Tart
The unique and delicious taste of asiago and asparagus in the same bite. YUM!
Ingredients
- 1 lb asparagus
- 1 pkg puff pastry
- Olive Oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Asiago cheese
Instructions
Let the Puff Pastry come to room temperature.
Take the asparagus and trim the ends
