If you have kids in the house, you are probably trying to find ways to save on the many expenses that go along with parenthood.
Chances are, you want to keep your kids dressed nice and stylish, but you probably also don’t want to spend the exorbitant prices that go along with today’s fashions.
Here are a couple of tried and true methods for saving on kids’ clothes.
Clearance Shopping!
Head on into your favorite retail store and bypass all of the feature racks and make a beeline for the clearance racks. Most stores have some pretty amazing clearance deals available. I have found typically high dollar designer jeans priced as low $8 during these clearance digs.
Clearance shopping can be so much fun and can be like a treasure hunt! It is fun to look for the best deal and to know that your kids are going to be rocking the best fashions that you were able to score on a budget!
Thrift shopping
Thrift stores are a great way to score some major deals on kids clothes. The great thing about thrift shopping for kids is that kids grow fast, therefore they don’t often wear their clothes long enough to wear them out, so you are able to buy clothes that are in great shape for pennies on the dollar.
When thrift shopping, I recommend only buying clothes that are not only in good condition, but also only name brand high quality clothing. I personally don’t buy Walmart clothes from a thrift shop because you know that they are simply not made to last as other brands are.
High End Thrift Shops
There are thrift stores out there that are specifically designed to sell high end, designer clothing. These stores are often higher priced than your typical thrift shop, but that is for good reason. The clothes are always in great shape and they are still priced significantly less than if you were to buy new.
Online Shopping
There are some really great websites to shop for great kids’ fashions on a budget such as Zulily that sell great deals daily! There are also fun online “thrift shops” such as Schoola and Thred Up that not only provide great deals, but you can also get credits toward your purchases, making it even more affordable.
Garage Sales!
You can easily search what is at your local sales with the simple ap: Yard Sale Treasure Map. It even lets you GPS optimize your route for better gas efficiency!
The point is there are many different ways to save on kids clothes so that you can keep them in the latest fashions for less.

Kids grow so fast, so I do think it is important to try and save money on their clothes. I like clearance shopping and shopping at resale or thrift stores. You can get stuff at a fraction of the cost, that is still in great shape. Great tips, thanks for sharing!
