Delicious Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars

What could be more decadent that chocolate paired with pecan pie bars? This beyond rich treat is perfect for the holidays as a small portion is perfect with a cup of coffee. It has become a traditional favorite here for Thanksgiving and we often have requests to bring it to a festive gathering.

Delicious Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars

Try these delicious Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars for your holiday treats!
Ingredients
  • 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 2 C flour
  • 2 C sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 & 1/2 C corn syrup, light
  • 8 oz nestle semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 C chopped pecans
  • parchment paper
Instructions
  1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Tear off a large piece of parchment paper, long enough for it to come up the sides (about 4 in)
  3. In a standing mixer, beat the butter, flour, 1/2 C sugar and salt until coarse like crumbs
  4. Press into the bottom of the pan and bake for 18 minutes
  5. In a double boiler, combine the corn syrup and 6 oz chocolate chips and mix until melted and smooth
  6. Add in the eggs, 1 1/2 C sugar and vanilla, mixing until combined
  7. Mix in the chopped pecans
  8. Pour mixture over the crust and bake for 40 minutes
  9. Remove from oven when done and place onto a wire rack until cooled
  10. In a small dish, melt the remaining 2 oz of chocolate in increments of 20-30 seconds
  11. Once melted, drizzle the chocolate on the bars

Total Time 1 hour 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 & 1/2 cups corn syrup, light
  • 8 oz Nestle semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
