Beef Stroganoff — so easy to make when you let the crock pot do most of the work! Most people will use stew meat, but I prefer to get a nice sirloin and have the meat department cut it into nice sized pieces for me. If you as the meat counter, nicely, they should do it for free.
I used a Wildtree seasoning for this recipe – as I have been given a few to test out. It passed our expectations! I DID whip it up as a freezer meal, just as you read through.
Crock Pot Beef Stroganoff
15 Smart Points Per Serving
Ingredients:

- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 medium chopped onion
- 1 bag Wildtree Stroganoff Skillet Meal Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 cup water
Mix all ingredients into freezer bag. Remove air, seal & attach label. Double bag and freeze. Thaw bag in fridge. Place contents of bag in slow cooker. Cook covered on low 6-8 hours or on high 4 hours.
Add:
-
4 oz cream cheese, cubed
-
4 oz sour cream
Add cream cheese & sour cream to slow cooker for the last 30 minutes. Stir to combine. Serve over egg noodles and then rip into it like a monkey on a cupcake!
