So, first of all, you have to make the unicorn horn and ears. It is something easy to do with fondant if you aren’t lucky enough to have them at your local party store in the birthday section. This is the mold I like to use – from Amazon. It can be used for som many things and so many different ways!

Here is why we like it:

  • Food Grade Silicone
  • No funky Smell
  • Non-Toxic
  • Durable
  • Easy To Clean
  • Temperature To Use: These Molds Are Safe Used In Oven, Microwave Oven, Freezer Temperature Safe From -40 To 428 Degrees Fahrenheit (-40 To 220 Degrees Celsius)
  • Package includles: 8PCS Unicorn Silicone Mold Wide
  • Applications: Mold Used For Fondant, Gumpaste, Candy, Chocolate, Candy Melts, Ice, Gelatin, Isomalt

OK, using that mold – whip up some horns and ears. I just use white fondant for the horns and then use edible spray paint to make them gold. I love this Wilton Color Mist!

If you would rather not futz with making them, that is OK – you can always get the paper unicorn cupcake toppers like this one from Amazon. Just remind your friends not to eat them when they are enjoying their unicorn Jello shots – ha!

The top layer (the remaining bowl of pink Jello stays the same.)

White Layer Unicorn Jello Shots directions:

While your first layer of pink Jello is setting, prepare the white layer.
In a separate bowl add the sweetened condensed milk with 1 cup of boiling water. In a small bowl sprinkle 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup of cold water. Allow the unflavored gelatin to set for a few minutes.
Add 1/2 cup of boiling water to dissolve the gelatin. Add this to the milk mixture. Stir to combine. Allow to cool to room temperature.
Spoon some of this milk mixture over the bottom layer of pink.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Building the rest of the unicorn Jello shot:

Add the 2nd layer of the pink Jello. Put in the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours. Check as this layer may harden faster.

Spoon in the 2nd layer of the white milk mixture. Refrigerate your unicorn Jello shots for 30 minutes.

Spoon the remaining (last pink bowl) (top layer) of pink for the top layer.

Set in the refrigerator for 2 hours to set. When you are ready to serve your unicorn Jello shots, just add a little whipped cream and the unicorn decoration.
