I know, I know, it is no where close to the October Breast Cancer Awareness month PSA times… but seriously? We need to think about it more than just one month of the year!
I take this seriously as my grandma was just 29 when she died…minutes after her baby was taken from her tummy. My mom was only 4. I found a lump when Miss Sarah was about that age and was lucky to have it turn out to NOT be history repeating itself.
Ladies, make sure to keep an eye on your “girls” and this snack can be a fun way to chat about it when you are with your gal-pals. Do your self checks and schedule your tests.
Oh yeah, add chocolate.
Now, I can’t take credit for this idea — a picture of something similar was shared by my buddy and I fell in love with it. Here is the best part: I called them “boobie cookies” and sent a whole bag with my father-in-law to share with his 70+ year old coffee buddies.
Mammo-Grahams
Ingredients
- Chocolate Graham Crackers
- Strawberry Marshmallows
- Wilton White Chocolate Melts
- Pink food marker
Break the graham crackers into squares. place your marshmallows on a plate and lightly zap (10-15 seconds)
Now, melt your white chocolate and spread it on a chocolate graham. Add a marshmallow and then top with another graham. It’s kind of a gourmet s’more. Now, get out that marker — add the “nipple”.
I know, cheesy, but it gets the point across. Chocolate, white chocolate and strawberries — what a tasty way to make it!
