We still have a small bit of leeway with the class treats at the school where Miss Sarah goes… Especially since her food allergy prevents most of the normal accepted list. So this is a peanut free, festive item that is super simple to make! Actually Miss Sarah did most of it!
You need large pretzel rods, white chocolate or almond bark (melted), mini chocolate chips and a silicone mat like a Silpat.
Take a fork or whisk and use it to drape the pretzels in ribbons of white chocolate. Use the mini chocolate chips quickly, to make the eyes.
These really do not take very long to set up and harden, then you can peel them off the mat and rip into them like a monkey on a cupcake. I used the pretzel treat bags from Wilton to keep them separate, easy to serve and ready for Miss Sarah’s classmates today.
