It is SUPER easy to make and can often be a great compliment to any rich entree!
Every time I make ham loaves or salmon loaf, Creamed Peas is my “go to” side dish!
Seriously, it takes less than five minutes to make!

Slowly whisk in 2 cups of milk. It will dissolve that mess. I promise.
Creamed Peas
It is SUPER easy to make and can often be a great compliment to any rich entree!
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt, dash
- white pepper, dash
- 2 tbsp white flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 lb bag frozen peas
- 1/2 tsp dill
Instructions
In your skillet, melt butter. Add a dash of salt and white pepper (black will do but shows up more).
Now, stir in white flour. It will be a thick, yellowish, mess. It’s OK.🙂 Slowly whisk in milk. It will dissolve that mess.
Bring to a gentle boil and then fold in your 1lb. bag of peas.
Add a 1/2 teaspoon dill and slowly let it thicken a bit (about a minute).
