5 Uses for Vaseline

Vaseline is great for a lot of things. Around the house, health and even beauty. Here are my favorite 5 uses for Vaseline.

1. Smooth Hair

Work a small amount of Vaseline into your hair to repair split ends and tame frizz. It’s like a leave in conditioner so be sure not to use too much or you risk making your hair look greasy. A small amount goes a LONG way.

2. Remove Makeup Stains from Clothing

How many times have you woken up and saw half of a face on the pillow because you forgot to take your makeup off the night before? Using a damp cloth and a little bit of Vaseline you can easily remove makeup stains from clothes, bedding, and even upholstery!

3. Polish Leather Goods

Leather can last a very long time if it is taken care of properly. An easy way to take great care of your leather is with Vaseline. Using just a dab of Vaseline work it into your bag, shoes, boots, anything leather that needs a good shine and protectant!

4. Help Sensitive Ears

Wearing ear rings when you have sensitive ears isn’t very fun. They rub and chafe the skin on our ear lobes and it can get painful. Just dip the backs of earrings into Vaseline before you pop them in. It will minimize the irritation and make your ears much more comfortable.

5. Keep Hinges and Door Knobs Paint Free

Painting a room (or an entire house) is stressful enough. When you accidentally get paint on hinges or door knobs, that frustration level sky rockets. Before you go Picasso on your whole house, apply some Vaseline to anything you want to keep paint free. When you’re done painting wipe it away!
